Family & Caregiver Support
Burke recognizes how important caregivers are and the impact that they have on the health of our patients. We know the role of a caregiver can be demanding and stressful. The Marsal Caregiver Center is available to promote the wellbeing of Caregivers through compassionate support and healing environment.
Marsal Caregiver Center
The Marsal Caregiver Center [PDF], is located in the heart of Burke Rehabilitation in White Plains, NY, and offers an oasis to caregivers. The Marsal Caregiver Center is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily, with staff available Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. until 5. pm. This spacious, beautifully decorated and calm setting allows caregivers to take a break from the stresses of what they are going through.
At the Marsal Caregiver Center you will discover:
- Quiet rooms for rest or private conversation
- Access to caregiver specific community resources
- Large spaces for group discussions
- Conference room
- Kitchenette stocked with coffee and tea.
- Computer stations with internet access, copier and charging stations
- Books and magazines
- Educational opportunities
- Assistance from a dedicated and licensed clinical social worker

Caregiver Ambassadors
Talk to one of Burke’s highly trained Caregiver Ambassadors who are stationed in the Center to provide supportive assistance. These trained volunteers listen to and educate families about the resources available at Burke. If you would like to become a Caregiver Ambassador, please call (914) 597-2269 to learn about the process.
