Outpatient Physician Practice

Outpatient Medical Services in White Plains, NY

Inpatient hospital stay lengths are shorter than ever before, and the need for an outpatient continuum of care by expert physicians is growing. Whether a patient has just completed an inpatient stay for a serious injury or surgery, or is battling debilitating symptoms of a chronic condition, it is critical for them to receive expert care in an outpatient setting, with the goal of optimizing recovery in the shortest time period possible.

In response to this growing need, Burke Rehabilitation Hospital is now offering expanded outpatient medical services for patients on its main campus in White Plains. Patients who have completed their inpatient rehabilitation at Burke or another post-acute rehabilitation hospital, or members of the community that are seeking outpatient medical services can now be evaluated and receive treatment at Burke's Outpatient Physician Practice. Burke's board-certified outpatient physicians are leaders in their field and offer the same qualified and compassionate care that has made Burke a premier provider of rehabilitation for decades. These physicians will work on multidisciplinary teams with the patient's Burke inpatient physician and therapy team, or with their primary care physician, family doctor or external rehabilitation team.

Treatment is available for patients experiencing complications from a variety of conditions, including stroke, spinal cord injury, brain injury, cardiac disease, pulmonary disease, orthopedic surgery, amputations, musculoskeletal disorders, chronic pain, dementia and arthritis.
