Generally, patients may be candidates for outpatient services if they have experienced loss of function due to injury or illness. Adults with speech, language or swallowing disorders may also be candidates for these services. If your primary care physician, specialist or even inpatient Burke physician has recommended outpatient therapy, we are happy to assist you.
In order to begin the process of becoming a Burke outpatient, a referral from a licensed physician is required. It should state a diagnosis and type of therapy prescribed. This must be done before an appointment can be scheduled. If you have not received a diagnosis and prescription from your physician, you may schedule an appointment with one of Burke's outpatient physicians, and following an evaluation they can prescribe the outpatient services you need.
