Burke Rehabilitation Hospital recently introduced Lianne Hales Dugan as its new Vice President of Development and Marketing. Dugan began the position on April 1.
In her new role, Dugan will be responsible for oversight of all of the hospital’s development and marketing activities as well as strategic planning and alignment with the objectives of the Montefiore Health System.
“This is the perfect time for Lianne to join our team; we are holding true to the hospital’s mission and core values by reinvesting in our staff and the community,” Burke President and CEO Jeff Menkes said. “Lianne’s ability to direct major fundraising efforts and manage the Burke brand will help solidify our position as an innovator in rehabilitative medicine—not only in the Montefiore Healthcare System—but across the country.”
Dugan comes to Burke from the Westchester Medical Foundation in Valhalla where she served as the Executive Director. In that role, Dugan managed the comprehensive development program for Westchester Medical Center, Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital, Behavioral Health Center and MidHudson Regional Hospital. Dugan began her career in healthcare in 1994 as the Director of Development for Dominican Sisters Family Health Service, a multi-county visiting nurse service.
“Burke's excellent reputation and vision for the future make this an incredible opportunity. I’m thrilled to partner with Jeff Menkes, Board of Trustees Chairman John McCarthy, and the rest of the Burke family to help patients, families and staff stay connected with the hospital for a lifetime,” Dugan said. “I am very excited work strategically with our partners in the community to make Burke’s brand of rehabilitation accessible to more and more patients.”
Dugan has close ties to Westchester having received her BBA, MBA and Health Care Management education at Iona College in New Rochelle. Dugan lives in Croton-on-Hudson with her husband, Sean.
