We are super excited to be preparing for our 6th year of Hand Cycling here at Burke! We are actively recruiting new participants for our indoor hand cycle training program.
The free indoor training program is comprised of an 8-week session where participants will receive an individualized fitting to a hand cycle that meets their needs; strength, flexibility and endurance training; and detailed instructions on how to properly operate a hand cycle. Participants must have moderate upper body strength and mobility and be able to safely and independently self-propel, shift, brake, steer and follow instructions.
Meets Tuesdays and Thursdays in April and May from 5:00 p.m.- 6:30 p.m. at the Burke Hospital outdoor track.
Please RSVP to Alexandra Oudheusden at AdaptiveSports@burke.org
