Neuromodulation: Current and Future Applications is a Burke Innovation Seminar led by Dr. Emad Eskandar. Dr. Eskandar is the Chairman of the Department of Neurological Surgery at Montefiore Medical Center in the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
Dr. Eskandar is a world-renowned surgeon and a highly accomplished scientist. Dr. Eskandar specializes in the treatment of brain tumors, epilepsy, trigeminal neuralgia, and Parkinson Disease with cutting-edge technology. He is currently serving as President of the American Society of Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery.
Dr. Eskandar leads an active research laboratory investigating the neural basis of learning, motivation, and impulsivity. He has published over 185 peer-reviewed papers, many of which are in prominent journals such as Nature, Nature Medicine, and the Journal of Neuroscience.
