Whether you are an experienced hand-cyclist or a beginner looking for a new way to get active, we invite you to join us for a handcycling clinic on the track at Burke.
No experience is necessary to participate, as advanced hand cyclists and therapists will be available to assist all riders on how to use the bikes as well as how to transfer on and off the equipment. There will be a variety of hand bikes available to choose from and participants will be able to ride safely on Burke’s closed track.
Riders of all ability levels are welcome, however, it should be noted that all riders must have enough upper body strength to move the hand pedals. Gross motor function in the upper body will be enough to propel the bike; fine motor skills and hand dexterity are not as important.
The clinic is free to participate in, but registration is required. Please fill out and submit the registration form to attend.
If you have any questions, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call (914) 597-2248.
