Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN) certification is a generalist certification and is appropriate for professional rehabilitation nurses. The RNCB’s mission is to promote excellence in care by validating qualifications and specialized knowledge in rehabilitation nursing.
This course is for professionals preparing for the CRRN Exam or for individuals using the review to obtain credits towards certification renewal. Upon completion, participants will be able to:
- Asses patients with a rehabilitation diagnosis & identify interventions that meet individual needs.
- Evaluate and apply rehabilitation principles in a variety of clinical situations.
- Explain the impact of rehabilitation services including direct care delivery and case management.
Thursday, May 3rd's program will include skin integrity, dietary interventions, pulmonary rehab, neuromuscular diseases, community resources and reintegration, speech and swallowing, pharmacology, practice models and theories, case management coping and adjustment, and legislative, ethical and legal issues.
Friday, May 4th's program will include cardiac rehab, stroke, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, adolescents, geriatrics, orthopedics and amputees, and bowel and bladder.
CEU Information: Burke Rehabilitation Hospital is approved as a provider of continuing education in nursing by the New Jersey State Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
