If you or a loved one have experienced a traumatic brain injury, consider attending Burke’s Health Fair & Open House on Thursday, July 20.
The health fair is specifically geared towards individuals who have experienced a traumatic brain injury and will feature lectures and demonstrations on a number of topics, including memory aids, therapy equipment, how to navigate Medicaid and more.
Vendors include Bioness, Triboro Driving School, Bussani Adapated Equipment, which will have an adapted van on display, and more. There will also be information on state-of-the-art advances in stress management, therapeutic exercise, and other topics. Lectures will be given by experts from Burke’s neuropsychology program, Burke’s therapists and other professionals.
The event will run from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the Patient Dining Room, on the first floor of the main hospital at 785 Mamaroneck Ave., in White Plains. Lectures will take place in Harris Parlor from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., also located on the first floor of the main hospital.
