Free Lecture on Stroke Prevention on May 11

Want to learn more about how to prevent and recognize the signs of stroke—and what you can do to cut your risk? Join us on Thursday, May 11 for a free lecture on stroke prevention given by two experts from Burke’s stroke program.

This lecture is part of Burke’s Senior Health Series, a series of bi-monthly lectures focused on topics of interest to seniors in the community, like fitness, healthy eating and more.

The presentation will be given by Hillary Moser, MS,OTR/L and Jodi Etelson-Wiseman, MA, CCC-SLP, from Burke’s stroke rehabilitation program, who will discuss what a stroke is, ways to prevent it and how to know if you or a loved one is having a stroke.

There will be a question and answer session following the presentation and audience members are encouraged to take part.

The presentation begins at 9 a.m. and a light breakfast will be served beginning at 8:30 a.m. It will take place in the Rosedale room on the second floor of the Billings Building on Burke’s main campus at 785 Mamaroneck Ave. in White Plains.
