Senior Health Series: Talk on Caring for the Caregiver on March 9

Published February 10, 2017

In the next installment of Burke’s Senior Heath Series, a bi-monthly lecture series on health, wellness and aging, experts from Burke’s inpatient programs will be talking about the importance of caring for the caregiver.

As a caregiver, you may be prone to burnout, stress and you may face other unique challenges related to caring for someone with an illness, injury or who has recently had surgery. This lecture will touch on ways to avoid those stressors and take care of yourself—while caring for someone else. The speakers will be Daniel Leet, PTA, and Deirdre Otto, CRTS from Burke.

The event will be held on:
Thursday, March 9
Rosedale Room
Billings Building (building #4)
785 Mamaroneck Ave., White Plains

Registration begins at 8:30 am, with the lecture to follow at 9 a.m.

A light breakfast will be provided and there will be a Q&A following the presentation. The event is open to the public and community members are encouraged to attend.

Space is limited, so please pre-register by March 7 by calling Julia Moran at (914) 597-2871 or emailing
