Tree Decorating, Sing-A-Longs, Refreshments at Burke Rehabilitation Hospital on Saturday, December 3
Burke Rehabilitation Center is pleased to announce that it will sponsor a Tree Trimming and Holiday Party on Saturday, December 3 from 3:30 to 5:30.
Laurane Magliari, a grateful former patient at Burke, has spread her holiday joy with a donation to Burke for a Christmas tree, decorations, and an all-around celebration. Laurane had a wonderful experience during her rehabilitation at Burke. She wanted to help bring joy to other patients who find themselves in the hospital and away from their families during the holidays. In 2014, Laurane was honored with a Burke Award for outstanding support. Although Laurane has recently passed, her family is continuing to provide the donations for this celebration.
Laurane’s donated Christmas tree will be decorated by Burke patients, friends and family on Saturday, December 3, from 3:30 to 5:30, in the hospital’s carpeted dining room. Along with tree trimming, there will be Christmas carol sing-a-longs and refreshments served. There will be candy canes and crafts for the kids and holiday film favorites on the big screen throughout. It will be a simply wonderful day, with Burke patients, volunteers, Magliari family and friends—all made possible by Laurane’s good wishes.
Please contact Community Relations at x2848 if you would like to attend. We look forward to seeing you.
The 2022 Burke Award Dinner honored Jeffrey Menkes. Mr. Menkes served as Burke’s President and CEO for more than five years, and has been a leader in the healthcare industry over the past five decades.
