Happy Thanksgiving from our Burke Family to Yours

Published November 16, 2016

The holiday season is often the time of year when people recognize the importance of gratitude in their lives. But did you know that gratitude is not only great for your mental wellbeing, but your physical health as well?

In fact, gratitude is cited for helping with mental and physical health, as well as better sleep and relationships: “Grateful people experience fewer aches and pains and report feeling healthier than other people, according to a 2012 study published in Personality and Individual Differences,” cites Psychology Today, which highlights seven benefits of gratitude.

Here at Burke, we want to take this time to express our gratitude to our patients, their families and community members, who seek out Burke’s inpatient and outpatient programs for the rehabilitation needs, join our fitness center or attend our many community events throughout the year.

You are the reason we are able to make strides in the field of rehabilitation medicine and why we all look forward to coming to work every day.

From our Burke family to yours, we wish you a very happy Thanksgiving.
