Mindfulness is a scientifically proven method that is recommended for the treatment
of various conditions including those related to anxiety. Mindfulness can simply be
described as choosing and learning to control our focus and attention. These methods
have been clinically proven to improve attention, alleviate stress, anxiety, panic,
depression, and chronic pain.
Heidi Spitz, Psy.D., Director, Outpatient Neuropsychology, will teach you
hands-on practical skills to deal more effectively with the normal ‘ups and downs’ that you face in your daily life.
This event is open to the public. Community members are encouraged to attend and
participate in the Q&A to follow the presentation. A light breakfast will be provided.
