Attention Seniors: Burke’s Senior Health Series Starts this May

Beginning this May, Burke will be hosting a lecture series on health, wellness and aging. These bi-monthly breakfast sessions for seniors in the community will feature topics including fall prevention, how to make your home safer, diet and exercise and more. 

To kick off the series, join us on Wednesday, May 4 for a talk on balance and fall prevention.

Kathleen Edsall, M.S., CSCS, CET, Director of Community Wellness at Burke, will lead the discussion and review steps you can take to prevent falls in the home, with an emphasis on staying active and educated. Kathleen will help you understand the principles of good balance and exercise as a part of a lifelong health and wellness journey.

This event runs from 7:30 – 9am and is open to the public. Community members are encouraged to attend and participate in the Q&A to follow the presentation. The event will take place in the Rosedale room on the 2ndfloor of the Billings Building on Burke’s main campus in White Plains.

A light breakfast, coffee and tea will be provided.
