Free Your Mind: What to Know About Meditation

If you’re interested in learning more about meditation, but not sure where to start, join us on Feb. 16. Experts from Burke will discuss what meditation is, how it can help improve well being and ways you can start your own practice at home.

The lecture will take place from 10 – 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 16 in the Rosedale room on the second floor of Burke’s Billings building on the main campus in White Plains. To RSVP call Kathleen Edsall at 914-597-2578 or email kedsall@burke.org.

On March 3, there will be a Multiple Sclerosis 101 lecture in Spanish. The program will provide an overview and greater awareness of MS and answers questions that typically accompany an MS diagnosis. Hosted by the New York City – Southern New York Chapter of the National MS Society, the lecture will take place from 4-6 pm in the Rosedale Room, 2nd floor, Billings Building. On March 24, Burke will be hosting a lecture titled “Parkinson's Disease: Development, Treatment and Progression” This lecture will review symptoms and progression of Parkinson’s Disease, traditional and new treatment of this condition and resources available through community offerings.
