Recent studies suggest healthcare professionals are at high risk for career burnout. The effects of burnout can have a profound impact on the healthcare system. Recognizing the presence of stress can decrease severity and is key to avoiding burnout. This discussion will review multiple strategies for identifying and reversing burnout with examples and experiences from a panel of hospital leaders.
