Burke Medical Research Institute scientists Dylan Edwards, PT, Ph.D, Director of the Non-Invasive Brain Stimulation and Human Motor Control Laboratory and David Putrino, PT, Ph.D, Director of Telemedicine and Virtual Rehabilitation will both be speaking at the HealthTech ’15 conference at the Doubletree Hotel in Tarrytown.
The conference, which will be held May 18 and 19, brings together leaders in health technology to discuss new and emerging innovations and how these are driving the field of health and medicine forward.
In addition, Burke will be providing an Exoskeleton, a newly-approved bionic device, for display. The device helps patients with severe mobility issues after a stroke or spinal cord injury to improve their gait and allows even those patients with no movement in the lower extremities to stand and walk.
