The Food and Nutrition Services team is committed to providing nutritious food, efficient and courteous service, and quality nutritional care to patients, staff and visitors. The nutrition team consists of four registered dietitians, including our Clinical Nutrition Manager, and two menu technicians. The menu technicians visit each patient twice daily to obtain menu selections offering our patients a variety of wholesome and delicious soups, salads, entrees, desserts and beverages.
Our highly skilled clinicians provide nutritional care to all patients beginning at admission. The nutritional status of each patient is assessed and when required, a full comprehensive nutrition assessment is completed. We provide sound evidence-based medical nutrition therapy for all types of diets, including heart healthy, carbohydrate controlled, weight loss and other therapeutic diets required for rehabilitation.
We have a strong focus on diet education and provide individual and group nutrition- education sessions to patients and staff as well as the community. Our primary goal is to provide others with the tools needed to make lifelong dietary change to improve health and live well. Our nutrition team is committed to promoting positive change in dietary habits to improve the overall health of our patients, visitors, staff and community.
