Join us throughout the year for a variety of special events hosted on Burke’s beautiful campus in White Plains as well as throughout the New York Metro Area. Our events foster community, encourage people of all abilities to take part in sports and recreation and help raise funds for our many programs and services.

Join us on Sunday, April 6th, 2025 for the annual Heels & Wheels 5k & Kids Fun Run- an annual event where runners, walkers and adaptive athletes of all ages come together to compete in an exciting and supportive race, the event includes a Kids Fun Run on the track for our youngest athletes. Teams are welcome! The 5K begins on the Burke track and winds through our beautiful neighborhood before concluding on the track. Prizes are awarded.
Join us on Saturday September 13th, 2025! The Burke Adaptive Sports & Recreation Expo offers attendees an opportunity to participate in adaptive sports activities such as golf, yoga and more on Burke's verdant and spacious campus. Participants will also learn about and demo the latest innovations in adaptive technology.

Our premier fundraiser, the Burke Award celebrates strength and courage in overcoming the challenges of a life-altering injury or illness, and honors those who have made a significant contribution to the field of rehabilitation. It is the highest award bestowed by the Burke Board of Trustees.
