Approach to Care
My interest in rehabilitation medicine began with my own story. I was born with a musculoskeletal condition that made it uncertain whether I would ever walk independently. Medical intervention changed that, and today I hike and travel around the world.
My approach to care starts with a simple principle: your goals are yours, not mine. My job is to partner with you, listen closely to what you are dealing with, and build a plan we both believe in.
I treat a broad range of musculoskeletal and neurological conditions, and I bring an educator's mindset to every visit. That means taking the time to make sure you understand your diagnosis and your options.
What can patients expect during an appointment?
During an appointment with Dr. Shah, a patient can expect to have the opportunity to share their concerns regarding the issues affecting their quality-of-life including pain, discomfort, and mobility impairments. Dr. Shah will perform a comprehensive evaluation and provide a treatment plan consisting of education regarding the diagnosis and a range of interventions from imaging to therapies to medication.
