ASPIRE Randomized Clinical Trial

Objective

This clinical trial aims to determine if apixaban is better at aspirin in preventing another stroke in patients who had a stroke and are diagnosed with atrial fibrillation (AF).

Do I Qualify?

You may qualify if:

You are 18 or older
You had bleeding in your brain (intracerebral or intraventricular hemorrhage), and a CT scan or MRI showed it
Your brain bleed happened between 2 weeks and 6 months ago
You have a heart condition called atrial fibrillation or atrial flutter
