Your support of Burke Rehabilitation Hospital has a direct impact on the lives of the thousands of patients, as well as their families and caregivers, that we treat each year. Philanthropic support is integral to our ability to carry out our mission and to continue to provide the highest quality, state-of-the-art treatments available. With your support, we are also able to ensure that we hire and train the very best staff to provide rehabilitation care through our world class programs. A contribution of any size has the ability to help us take our clinical care, research projects and community programs to the next level.
If you are considering making a contribution to Burke, we offer a variety of ways to give—from a monthly giving program to an equipment donation to a bequest — so that you can find the program that is best for you.
Following is a list of our primary giving programs. Of course, if you have any questions or would like additional information about any of them, we hope that you will reach out to our Development Team at (914) 597-2847 or firstname.lastname@example.org so that we can assist you. Thank you in advance for considering a donation to Burke.
A one-time gift is the perfect was to express your appreciation for the care received while you, a family member or friend was a patient at Burke.
Would you like to recognize a specific doctor? Do you want to honor a special nurse or therapist? Would you like your gift to go towards a specific program? Please note that if you choose to recognize a Burke employee, the employee will be notified of the donation, but the amount will not be disclosed.
It’s easy to make a one-time gift. You can contribute:
Monthly Giving Program
Burke’s Monthly Giving program allows your donation to make a difference throughout the entire year. Visit our Donate Now page and choose “Monthly” in the gift type drop-down menu.
You can ensure Burke's longtime success through a bequest, trust, charitable gift annuity, insurance policy and many other charitable vehicles. If you are interest in planned giving, or learning more about this opportunity, please call the Development Department at (914) 597-2847.
Gifts of Stock
You can also make a gift to Burke through a transfer of stock. Our team is available to help you structure your gift to best meet your needs and those of Burke. Please call the Development Department (914) 597-2847 to discuss gifts of stock in more detail.
If your company has a matching gift program, that can significantly increase the impact of your support. To determine if your company offers such a program, reach out to your company's Human Resources department to find out how the program works.
Benefactors who make significant contributions have the opportunity of having specific areas — a building, a lab, a therapy room — of our campus dedicated in their name. The dedication can be in honor of individuals, corporations or foundations. Gifts of this magnitude enrich Burke with the recognition of those who support our mission and inspire future generations to become philanthropic partners. If you are interested in learning more about the naming opportunities available, please call Lianne Hales Dugan, Vice President of Development & Marketing, at (914) 597-2491.
*As of 3/23/2020, Burke is not accepting any equipment donations until further notice*
Burke accepts donations of new or gently used "hospital grade" therapeutic equipment and assistive devices, such as wheelchairs and walkers. If you believe you have items to donate that meet this criteria, please call (914) 597-2847.
For more information on ways to give, call the Development Department at (914) 597-2847.
Donations not specified to a specific area are known as unrestricted gifts. These donations will be directed to Burke’s Annual Fund and be used for the greatest needs within the Hospital.
We thank you for your generosity
