Find a Physician

Coronavirus

At Burke, we are here for the community, our current and former patients, and our employees during this worldwide public health crisis., and we greatly appreciate everyone who has been supporting us during this difficult time. We are also deeply grateful for the dedicated work of each and every one of our staff members who come to work every day to help ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

We are thankful for our community’s support and for all of you who have asked how to help us. There are many ways that you can help support Burke during this challenging time:

Make a Tax-deductible Contribution to Burke's COVID-19 Response Fund
If you would like to make a monetary donation in support of Burke's COVID-19 efforts, please visit our donation page here. These funds will be used to support the hospital's operations and employees by purchasing vital supplies and equipment. Burke followed the directive of New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo mandating all hospitals to increase bed capacity, which results in caring for more patients and needing more resources. The contributions to this fund will be used toward those increased expenses.

Donate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Burke is currently accepting donations of the following PPE:

  • N95 masks
  • Surgical masks
  • Face shields
  • Goggles
  • Fluid resistant isolation gowns
  • Non-latex (nitrile) gloves

All donations must be coordinated prior to drop off. Please call (914) 597-2847 to arrange delivery.

Help Feed Burke's Employees

Burke Rehabilitation Hospital has a meal train set up here, where you can provide a meal for a group of staff — from 10 people in a specific department to our entire workforce of 500 employees during a shift.

Please follow the instructions below to ensure your donation is compliant with current COVID-19 requirements and regulations. This will allow staff to enjoy their meal safely and allow for social distancing.

  • Food should be prepared and packaged by a restaurant or pre-packaged food items purchased at a local grocery store or purveyor
  • Health regulations prevent us from accepting home-cooked food
  • Current visitation guidelines require that you arrange for delivery through the restaurant or delivery service rather than deliver yourself
  • The preference is for "grab and go" meals that are individually wrapped
  • Please avoid food trays that require heating or warming
  • Packaged snacks and bottles of water or soft drinks are welcome
Please support our local restaurants, delivery drivers, and essential employees who need our support now more than ever. Please sign up for a date and coordinate with any local food establishments for the delivery of the food directly. The development office would be happy to provide restaurant or meal suggestions.

Cards of Cheer
We are collecting Cards of Cheer from children and families who would like to send a message of inspiration and hope to our patients and our employees. If you'd like to submit one, please email a digital copy of artwork to rgoldberg@burke.org and include the creator's first name and age. We are sharing these with our patients and staff members, and displaying them in the hospital.

If you’d like discuss other ways you can help Burke and our staff, or have any questions, please reach out to us at (914) 597-2847.

We are all in this together.
