“First Swing” Seminar and “Learn to Golf” Clinic

Burke hosts an annual golf training, followed by a public clinic, for therapists, golf and healthcare professionals each spring. The “First Swing” Seminar is designed to train these professionals to teach and encourage people with mixed abilities to learn or re-learn the game of golf.  The training is offered free-of-charge with advance registration.

The “Learn to Golf” Clinic that follows the same-day “First Swing” Seminar, is designed to enable participants with mixed abilities to overcome any challenges with golfing. The clinic teaches the appropriate grip, stance, balance and ball set-up for successful play.  All participants will receive hands-on, personalized coaching in the execution of seated and/or standing swings, along with demonstrations of many kinds of adaptive golfing equipment.
