Burke Rehabilitation Hospital's medical staff continues to grow as three new doctors joined the team in the last month. Dr. Marwa Mekki, Dr. Benjamin Seidel and Dr. Adeepa Singh were all welcomed by fellow doctors, administrators and staff at a recent luncheon.
Dr. Mekki (left in photo) comes to Burke after completing a fellowship in spinal cord injury medicine and residency at Mount Sinai Hospital. In her new role, she will work with SCI patients on both an inpatient and outpatient basis. She received her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Illinois College of Medicine.
Dr. Seidel (center) is a physiatrist with sub-specialty certification in brain injury medicine. Prior to coming to Burke, Dr. Seidel was a Staff Physiatrist at the Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation and an Associate Clinical Professor at Rutgers University. He will join Burke's Traumatic Brain Injury team.
Dr. Singh (right) will provide neuromusculoskeletal rehabilitation consultations to both inpatients and outpatients. She completed a fellowship in interventional pain medicine at the Albert Einstein School of Medicine and her residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the JFK Johnson Rehabilitation Institute.
Welcome to Burke, Doctors Mekki, Seidel and Singh. We look forward to your valued contributions.
