Curious about mindfulness, but not sure where to start? Mindfulness is a scientifically proven method that's recommended for the treatment of various conditions, including those related to anxiety. Mindfulness can simply be described as choosing and learning to control our focus and attention. These methods have been clinically proven to improve attention, alleviate stress, anxiety, panic, depression, and chronic pain.
In the next installment of Burke's Senior Health Series—a bi-monthly lecture series on topics of interest to seniors—Heidi Spitz, Psy.D., Director of Outpatient Neuropsychology, will teach you hands-on practical skills to deal more effectively with the normal ‘ups and downs’ that you face in your daily life.
The presentation will take place in the Rosedale Room of the Billings Building (#4) on Burke's main campus in White Plains.
Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., where a light breakfast will be served. The presentation begins at 9 a.m.
