The list recognizes excellence among inpatient rehabilitation facilities throughout the US
White Plains, NY (September 5, 2024) – Burke Rehabilitation, a member of the Montefiore Health System, today announced the organization has been named to Newsweek’s 2024 list of America’s Best Physical Rehabilitation Centers. The annual list, now in its fifth edition, awards the top 300 inpatient physical rehabilitation facilities in the U.S. and is presented by Newsweek and Statista Inc., the leading statistics portal and industry ranking provider.
“Burke is proud to again be recognized among the top rehabilitation centers in the country,” said Scott Edelman, MBA, CPA, CFE, Burke Rehabilitation’s Executive Director. “Our dedicated team of clinicians continues to provide high quality, patient-centered medical care and rehabilitation services in a personalized and healing care environment. Working to meet the individual needs of each of our patients and their caregivers, we successfully support patients’ recovery process and long-term healing goals. We at Burke are constantly striving to adapt and grow and look forward to continuing to support patients across the tri-state area.”
Ranked in the top 10 of New York State’s rehabilitation centers, Burke boasts a wide range of expertise, including stroke care, orthopedics, cardiopulmonary, brain and spinal cord injury, amputation, and more, in settings conducive to the health and healing of patients on their recovery journey. Burke stands out as an innovative leader among New York’s free-standing rehabilitation hospitals, proudly caring for the most stroke patients and recently becoming the first and only with on-site dialysis in the state.
The America’s Best Physical Rehabilitation Centers 2024 ranking awards the leading physical rehabilitation facilities in the U.S. that were identified according to the definition of Inpatient Rehabilitation Facilities (IRFs) by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). IRFs are free standing rehabilitation hospitals and rehabilitation units in acute care hospitals. For more information, visit Newsweek’s rankings.
