About Burke

Pioneering Rehabilitation

Message From Our CEO

For 100 years, Burke Rehabilitation Hospital has been recognized as a leader in rehabilitation medicine. As we celebrate this historic century milestone, I am pleased to welcome you to the fresh new face of Burke. I hope you will enjoy exploring our ever changing website and the information contained in it. As you will see, Burke has many programs and services to offer patients and the community.

Burke has a broad range of comprehensive, acute rehabilitation programs for spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, stroke, neurological disorders, cardio-pulmonary disease, amputations and orthopedics. Our staff of rehabilitation experts work as a multidisciplinary team to deliver optimal, customized care. Because our mission is to help each patient reach maximum recovery, we employ the latest, state-of-the art technology, which you can examine on the website.

Behind the scenes, Burke is a medical research institute where our scientists are pushing the boundaries of rehabilitation possibilities. This think-tank of today’s brightest minds, allied with Weill Cornell Medical College and Albert Einstein College of Medicine is striving to shape the future of rehabilitation medicine.

As the only hospital in Westchester County dedicated entirely to adult rehabilitation, we offer a variety of community and outreach programs that have contributed to Burke's reputation for excellence. Although many of our patients come from the N.Y. Metropolitan area, we serve patients from around the country, and around the world.

Burke proudly offers a continuum of care that will enhance the quality of your, or your loved one's life. We look forward to hearing from you.
