Stroke Recovery Program
The Burke Rehabilitation Hospital’s stroke rehabilitation program is directed by Michael Reding, M.D., who leads an expert team focused on the maximum recovery of each patient.  The stroke rehabilitation program provides comprehensive services and medical management, anchored by multi-disciplinary professionals who involve patients and families in all phases of rehabilitative care. These stroke specialists assess each person's abilities and help each stroke survivor develop realistic short-term and long-term goals, applying the latest research and technology methods.

After acute rehabilitation, patients may continue therapy in Burke’s outpatient department or join stroke exercise and support groups that meet several times a week on the main campus.
