On August 20 at 11 a.m. the Fitness Center at Burke will be hosting a lecture on postural awareness.
The lecture will feature:
- An overview of the importance of posture as we age- Information on the overall influence of posture on health-related quality of life and overall impact on functional mobility- A visual review of commonly seen incorrect postural adaptations due to poor posture throughout the lifetime- General corrective exercises to help correct muscular imbalances that may lead to improper posture
