David Putrino, Ph.D., P.T., director of Telemedicine and Virtual Rehabilitation at BMRI, was among the invited speakers at this year’s EmTech conference, held January 27-28 in Singapore.  EmTech is an annual conference on “emerging technologies that matter” hosted by MIT Technology Review.  The event brings together innovators and entrepreneurs from around the world who have a shared passion for using cutting-edge technology to address major global issues.

At BMRI, Dr. Putrino is developing low-cost and accessible ways to deliver rehabilitation therapy through telemedicine, including state-of-the-art motion capture technology that allows therapists to remotely monitor patient progress. In his EmTech presentation, “Making the World a Better Place: Technology for the Sake of Humanity,” Dr. Putrino spoke about his work with Not Impossible Labs, including the Brainwriter and Project Daniel.
