Did you know that 2.4 million people sustain a brain injury each year?
As part of Brain Injury Awareness Month, members of Burke's Brain Injury team will be at the Ebersole Ice Rink, 110 Lake Street in White Plains, to share information about how you can decrease the risk for brain injuries for yourself and your loved ones.
Most people with a concussion recover quickly and fully. But for some people, symptoms can last for days, weeks, or longer. In general, recovery may be slower among older adults, young children, and teens. Those who have had a concussion in the past are also at risk of having another one and may have a slower recovery. Find out more about concussions and brain injury treatment and rehabilitation by stopping by Burke's table.
