Free Adaptive Alpine Skiing Clinics

Please join us for the newest installment of Burke Rehabilitation Center’s growing Adaptive Sports offerings.

This winter we are pleased to offer THREE Adaptive Alpine Skiing Clinics in partnership with Leaps of Faith in Sandy Hook, CT. We invite individuals with any and all disabilities to hit the slopes this winter for adaptive skiing at Mt. Southington, which is centrally located in Plantsville, CT. The Adaptive Alpine Skiing Clinics will offer both beginner and advanced skiing classes with certified instructors. All adaptive equipment will be provided free of charge.

All Adaptive Skiing Clinics are FREE and include lunch. They are open for all ages and no experience is necessary. Advanced registration is required. 

Adaptive Snow Ski Registration: To register, all participants must complete and send the registration form, waiver and a $25 deposit, which will be refunded to you on the day of the event. Please visit the Leaps of Faith Forms Page to download the registration and waiver forms.

The clinics will be held from 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.:

  • Tuesday, Jan. 28 – Register by Jan. 23
  • Tuesday, Feb. 25 – Register by Feb. 20
  • Tuesday, March 11 – Register by March 6

Clinic Information:  Adaptive Snow Ski Clinics will take place at Mt. Southington, 396 Mount Vernon Rd. in Plainsville, CT. You are responsible for your own transportation. Please bring a warm change of clothes, gloves and ski/winter jacket. A confirmation email to all registered skiers will be sent prior to the event. You may bring a friend, aide or family member with you but we kindly request a $5/each donation for their lunch.

Note: Please mail the completed registration and waiver forms along with your refundable deposit via US mail to Leaps of Faith at least five days before the scheduled clinic.
