Rajiv Ratan, M.D., Ph.D., executive director of the Burke Medical Research Institute, has been named one of two new Senior Associate Editors of the journal Neurotherapeutics, effective Jan. 1.
Neurotherapeutics is the official journal of the American Society for Experimental Neurotherapeutics and has been published since 2004. Each quarterly issue is thematically organized around an important aspect of neurological disorders and includes original research articles in translational neuroscience as well as critical reviews and perspective on current research and practice, including social, ethical, and scientific issues. Dr. Ratan has previously served on the Editorial Board of the journal and was a Guest Editor for the October 2013 issue focused on Epigenetics.
Neurotherapeutics ranks among the top five percent of clinical neurology journals according to SCImago Journal Rankings and last year it was identified as a “Rising Star” among neuroscience and behavior journals by Thomson Reuters.
