In celebration of White Plain's Wellness Week's "Brain Health Day," Burke Rehabilitation Hospital will be sponsoring a free clinical conference on this important topic.
Mark Herceg, Ph.D., director of Rehabilitation Psychology and Neuropsychology at Burke, will present an informative session on the importance of keeping sharp and things we can do to help keep our brains health.
Dr. Herceg's presentation will be followed by a demonstration on cognitive remediation, a training intervention that targets cognitive deficits using scientific principles of learning by Daniel J. Mancini, MA, Ed.M., Cognitive Remediation specialist at the Mental Health Association of Westchester.
The conference will be held in the Patient Dining Room of the Wood Building (bldg 7) on Burke's main campus, 785 Mamaroneck Ave. in White Plains.
This event is free of charge and open to the public. Please join us for this informative session. Refreshments will be served.
Also check-out our day of free wellness classes, also part of White Plain Wellness Week, on Sept. 18.
