Burke’s Wheelchair Games gives those with physical impairments an opportunity to stay fit, enjoy sports, and compete.
Burke is now accepting registrations for the 2013 Wheelchair Games to be held on Sept. 28, 2013.
The competitive categories include a Futures Division (six and under), two Junior Divisions and an Adult/Master Division. Beginning at 9 a.m. there will be field, table tennis, a slalom (obstacle) course. Track events start at 1:30 p.m.
Entries received by Sept. 1 are entitled to a $5 discount on the regular registration fee of $25. Financial assistance also is available for those who cannot afford the registration fee as Burke encourages all athletes to participate in this event, regardless of their ability to pay. The registration fee also includes an event t-shirt, lunch and a goody bag.
Please call the Wheelchair Games Hotline at (914) 597-2850 if you have any questions about the Games. If you have questions about classification and/or the athletic events, please contact Ralph Armento, meet director, at firstname.lastname@example.org or (732) 422-9094. We look forward to seeing you on Sept. 28.
All volunteers receive a free t-shirt and lunch. Children volunteers must be 12 years old or older.
