Alexandra Oudheusden, MS, CTRS, RYT, director of Burke Rehabilitation Hospital's Therapeutic Recreation department; Burke physical therapist Erica Wallach, DPT; and Eric Dietz, CTRS, recreation therapist at Burke, are giving a presentation titled "Wellness: The Importance of Movement and Exercise While Living with MS" during the 22nd Annual MS Family Discovery Day. Along with Burke's presentation, there will be events for children and teens, as well as seminars on symptom management, coping techniques and other hot topics regarding multiple sclerosis.
Sponsored by the New York City - Southern New York Chapter of the National MS Society, this day-long educational program will provide information and practical help in managing the physical and emotional aspects of living with multiple sclerosis. This program is open to all people living with MS, their families and friends, and medical professionals.
