Rajiv R. Ratan, M.D., Ph.D., executive director of the Burke Medical Research Institute, will be speaking at the Research in Your Backyard press conference sponsored by New York Health Works.

The press conference will cover the clinical trials and economic benefits that stem from such high-tech research efforts. Since 1999, one-third of all the clinical trials in the U.S. are conducted in New York State and the bio-pharmaceutical sector in in New York employs more than 200,000 people.
