The difference in rehab is Burke
Hope through Rehabilitation & Research
Burke Rehabilitation Hospital, in partnership with Achilles Track Club and Helen Hayes Hospital, is hosting a Free Hand Cycling Clinic on the Burke campus at 785 Mamaroneck Avenue in White Plains. Try hand-cycling on a variety of bikes using a closed track on our beautiful grounds.
Participants should have enough upper body strength/movement to move the hand pedals, but beginners are welcome. There will be many experienced bikers and therapists on-hand to assist people with getting on and off the bikes, as well as aid in using the bikes.
This is a great opportunity to get to know the community. A complimentary casual dinner will be served at the end of the clinic.
Pre-registration is required. For more information and to register for this free event, contact Alexandra Oudheusden at (914) 597-2497 or email her at aoudheusden@burke.org. If you are unable to make it to this event, there will be another Hand Cycling Clinic on Oct. 11.
