Burke's Stroke Support Group hosts monthly support meetings for stroke survivors and their caregivers. The group provides valuable information, speakers, a supportive environment and a chance to meet others experiencing similar life changes post stroke. Through discussions, participants will learn ways to help problem solve, cope, and understand more about stroke and recovery issues, including lifestyle changes that reduce the risk of stroke and promote a healthy life.
The group meets on the third Wednesday of every month from 4 to 5:30 p.m. in the Outpatient Building, Bldg. #8, at 785 Mamaroneck Avenue in White Plains.
Each meeting includes open discussion and education topics led by Roseann Cardi, RN, support group facilitator, or guest speakers. View or download the 2014 Stroke Support Group schedule for the list of topics and speakers.
For more information, contact Roseann Cardi at (914) 597-2290 or email her at email@example.com.
Whatever medical condition you or a family member may be facing, its nice to know that you don't have to go at it alone.
We encourage you to take advantage of one of the many support groups offered by Burke Rehabilitation Hospital.
Sometimes just talking about things with others who understand has immeasurable benefits.
