Those with spinal cord injuries share a unique set of health concerns and quality of life issues. For this reason, the Burke Rehabilitation Hospital hosts an Annual Spinal Cord Connection Day for networking, education and information sharing designed for individuals with spinal cord injuries. The day includes informational workshops, vendors and adaptive sports equipment demonstrations. The event is held each September in recognition of National Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Month.
