Fit For Life

In a supportive group setting participants perform a variety of exercises for strengthening, flexibility, endurance and balance. Programs include:

Fit-4-Life After Stroke
For post-Cerebrovascular Accident patients (CVA) who do not require ongoing physician-prescribed physical therapy or occupational therapy. The program is stratified into levels to help meet the different functional needs of participants.

Fee: $270 for a three month membership.

Fit-4-Life Parkinson's
For individuals with Parkinson’s disease who do not require ongoing physician-prescribed physical therapy or occupational therapy. A caregiver may be required to be present during the class.

Fee: $180 for a three month membership.

Fit-4-Life Pulmonary

For individuals with pulmonary disease who do not require ongoing physician-prescribed physical therapy or occupational therapy, or pulmonary rehabilitation. A pulse oximeter is available for clients to check their blood oxygen levels. A caregiver may be required to be present during the class. 

Fee: $185 for a three month membership.

Fit-4-Life Strength and Conditioning
For individuals with orthopedic or neurological conditions who do not require ongoing physician-prescribed physical therapy or occupational therapy, and want to continue with a structured community-based exercise program. Participants should be able to independently transfer and walk with or without an assistive device. A caregiver may be required to be present during the class.

Fee: $270 for three month membership; $180 for twice a week class.

Fit-For-Life R.E.A.C.H. for Parkinson's Disease

This Parkinson’s exercise class is designed for the individual with a diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease who can independently transfer and walk. R.E.A.C.H. stands for Range Exercise and Cardiovascular Health. This class is for graduates of Burke Outpatient LSVT-BIG program as an exercise continuation program. This class occurs in a group setting and incorporates full body exercise and cardiovascular training.

Fee: Introductory Price $1180 for three month membership, class takes place twice per week.

Fit For Life Strength and Motor Skills 

The program offers exercise in an upbeat supportive group setting to meet the functional needs of all participants. the class takes place in the Burke Sports Center and participants will perform a variety of fun exercises for strengthening, flexibility and hand eye coordination. Some exercise equipment may be used such as treadmills, NuSteps and resistance devices.
